How everything started...

Everything started when I was just about seven. My favourite thing on the weekends was to wake up earlier than anyone else at home, sit on the sofa and sew while watching cartoons on TV. The night before, just when I was about to fall asleep, I used to think of a new “project”, and wake-up in the morning impatient to get on with it. At this early time, the only thing I knew was cross-stitch.

The following years I learnt crocheting and knitting with the best teachers I could ever had, my grandmas Teresa and Marina. Them, with lots of patience and tenderness, corrected my mistakes first and were proud of my improvement.

I became well interested in sewing and clothes making when I got the best news so far, “Enara, you are going to become an aunty”. That was it! “I want to make clothes and things for my adored niece!!” Soon after my parents gifted me with a brand new sewing machine… and here I am! There is plenty more to learn, though I enjoy so much trying to create new patterns every time!

In this page you can find some of my work. I sometimes use my own imagination and other times, I get valuable inspiration and assistance from other peoples’ creations. All the creations are unique, and even if the same pattern is used, there will be a little something that it makes it different from a similar one. And why don’t you try me, as I can make a new pattern based on an idea that you might have!

You can order any of those creations at the e-mail motxokoa@gmail.com and you will receive them at your front door in a few days.
